The Mendon Community School District is located in St. Joseph County in southwest Michigan. It is a small, rural district with approximately 700 students in preschool through 12th grade. The administration and teaching staff are committed to providing the best possible education for the students in a safe and secure environment.

The core curriculum provides students with a variety of learning experiences and a solid foundation for continued growth and development in college or the work force.

Mendon Community Schools serves the community of Mendon and portions of Leonidas, Centreville, and Three Rivers.

MS Fall Sports Practice

MS Football –  Coaches: Steve Butler & Tim Slaughter  (7th & 8th grade only)

  •  Equipment Meeting – Wed. Aug. 17th at 5pm ( Please meet in the FB Coaches’ office, SE side near Auxiliary Gym)
  •  1st Day of Practice – Monday, Aug. 22nd  3:30-5:30

MS Volleyball  – 6/7th Coach: Megan Klein  8th Coach: Christina Duchene (6th, 7th, & 8th grade may participate)

  •  1st Day of Practice – Mon., Aug. 22nd  12:00p-2:00p at the High School
  • Aug. 24th – practice from 6-7:30pm
  • Aug. 25th – practice from 12-2pm
  • NO PRACTICE FRIDAY AUG 26th AND SEPT 2nd
  • Aug 29th – Sept 1st – practice from 3-4:30pm

If you are unable to make the first practice, you MUST contact your coach in order to guarantee your spot!

MS Cross Country – Coach: Art Stephenson  (6th, 7th, & 8th grades)

  • Practices daily at 9am or contact Coach Art (astephenson@mendonschools.org)

MS Cheerleading – Coach: Christina Riley (cheer.riley09@gmail.com) for 6th, 7th, & 8th grades

  • 1st Meeting – Wed., Aug 24th at 5-5:30pm

PLEASE NOTE: ALL ATHLETES MUST HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL ON FILE BEFORE PRACTICING   

    This is the first that 6th graders can participate in MS volleyball, cross country, and cheerleading.  However, this does not include football, per MHSAA rules.
