Mendon’s first ever Envirothon teams, along with Coach Carol Higgins, attended the Regional competition on March 19th at the Kalamazoo Nature Center! Both teams qualified to attend the State competition that will take place on May 16th and 17th at Michigan State University.

To prepare for the competitions, the Envirothon teams were lucky to meet with a local forester, as well as a crops and soil expert from MSU and an invasive species expert from the SJC Conservation District. A big thank you to Carol Higgins for heading up the program and for bringing in these presenters for our students to learn from!
