The District is aware of the media release issued by Prosecuting Attorney Debra Davis yesterday afternoon, which has prompted many questions.

To be clear, Kaitlyn Sand was never a District employee. She was previously employed by a food service provider who the District contracts with, and based on our records, she was assigned to the District from August 2021 until March 2023. 

Although we cannot discuss specifics of the situation, since these allegations came to light, our administrative team has been working with the Mendon Police Department, and we will continue to do so.

As always, the District’s priority is the safety and well-being of all of our students.  We will continue to work actively with the authorities on this matter.
