McKinney-Vento students: Students who qualify as homeless by state guidelines are eligible for immediate enrollment and educational services, with or without required entry documents.  Included in the definition of homeless are children living in the circumstances described in the following definition – students living in a primary nighttime residence that is not fixed, regular, and/or adequate.

The McKinney-Vento Act also applies to unaccompanied youth whose living arrangement meets the definition of homeless. Unaccompanied youth is defined as not in the physical custody of a parent or guardian.
